Alkan Air has partnered with Cornwall Aviation to offer the multi engine training/class 1 IFR. This partnership with Cornwall Aviation will provide a truly turnkey experience for you as the package and price will include housing and airfare. As a student, you will have priority with Cornwall Aviation, as our valued partner, to ensure you obtain your multi IFR is a timely manner once your CPL is complete. This model allows you to get your PPL and CPL in the beautiful Yukon, learning to fly in our unique environment, and then to complete your multi IFR in an affordable and timely manner.
Training costs vary depending on the skill level of the student. The following costs are based off of average flight hour requirements, but often students require more training in order to pass the Transport Canada flight test at the end of each course.

Private Pilot Licence (PPL)

Multi-Engine Rating
There are no minimum requirements for this rating.
The prices are based on typical cost: 8 hours flying (7 hours dual 1 hour flight test), 3 hours preparatory ground briefing, pilot examiners fee.

IFR Rating
Transport Canada minimum requirements for this rating are 50 pic cross country, 40 hours instrument before the flight test (maximum 20 hours simulator).

8 hours dual simulator, 11.5 hours flight time (10 hours dual, 1.5 hours flight test), 5 hours preparatory ground instruction, examiners fee
