De Havilland DHC-3T Turbine Otter

Alkan Air first operated the original radial engine Otter starting in 1982. The Otter famously opened the Canadian North as the first purpose build bush plane to carry large cargo such full sheets of plywood, snowmobiles and equipment. This legendary aircraft continues to fly throughout the world providing safe, rugged and reliable service. Alkan Air’s current Otter has been completely modernized with a reliable turbine engine, Short Take Off and Landing Modifications as well as Satellite tracking, communication and navigation. The Turbine Otter is available on wheels and skis and can operate in and out of short and rough unprepared runways.
